Bay Village

640px-Bay_Village,_Boston,_MA_-_view_1

Picturesque, quiet and superbly located, this least known of Boston neighborhoods is off the beaten path. Bay Village is like a small, charming hamlet, tucked away between the Back Bay, South End and Theater District. A historic neighborhood of only several blocks, it features rows of low 19th century brick townhouses. Some of the same fine craftsman who built the mansions on Beacon Hill came over to Bay Village and built these smaller versions for themselves. Walking the level streets of this beautiful neighborhood dotted with just a few businesses, restaurants, parks and schools is easy and fun.
