It was an honor to attend the Greater Boston Association of Realtors Annual Awards and Networking Brunch this year. Our professional association, The Greater Boston Association of REALTORS® (GBAR), represents over 6,500 real estate professionals throughout the Greater Boston and Eastern Massachusetts area with only 25 percent of all licensed real estate agents having earned the right to use the term REALTOR®. Held at the beautiful Oakley Country Club in Watertown, this annual event celebrates the accomplishments of many outstanding realtors who have made a significant contribution to the advancement of the real estate profession and the local community.
Although there are many categories to speak about, I would like to highlight The Good Neighbor Award. This award recognizes real estate professionals for their community involvement and activism. This year, our beloved Sales Manager and Vice President, Ken Tutunjian was bestowed this honor. A consummate marketer and community icon, Ken worked tirelessly for Community Servings, a local non-profit that prepares and deliver 9,600 lunches and dinners each week to the homes of almost 920 individuals and families who are homebound with an acute life-threatening illness. By selling over 1653 pies and raising over $44,000, Ken was recognized (along with fellow Coldwell Banker agent Sara Rosenfeld) with the GBAR Good Neighbor Award for making an extraordinary commitment to improving the quality of life in the community through volunteer work. Bravo to Ken (and Sara) for contributing to the community and your tireless commitment to Community Servings.
