A Boston developer is moving ahead with construction of a 17-story office building that will fill the last vacant parcel in the massive Prudential Center office and retail complex. The project, located at 888 Boylston St, which will occupy the plaza next to the Hynes Convention Center, will include a total of 422,000 square feet of space, with about 60,000 square feet for retail stores.
Many of you will remember that last year the Prudential Center began construction on their main floor entrance from Boylston Street, closing down Legal Seafood and all of the retail stores on the left side of the atrium as well as closing stores and demolishing them on the right side of the atrium. It is exciting to see this project continuing to move along and changes made almost on a weekly basis.
Just as a point of reference, I have attached 2 photos, 1 week apart, to showcase the progress being made on this project:
Rumors have it that the current food court will be enlarged with the addition of the new building and that the exciting New York City shopping and dining experience, Eataly, will be added to this exciting project. All fans of this extravaganza are waiting…
